Slice #20
Where to eat, sleep and sip in Copenhagen...
Hi, and welcome to your last slice of 2025! Since we kicked off this year with some Paris recommendations, it only feels right to finish with where to eat, sleep, sip and shop in the Danish capital of Copenhagen. If you’re planning a city break in 2026 (who isn’t?), the cool girls’ city of choice is a firm favourite, for good reason. Read on for some recs and start making your itinerary!

Coffee…

One of the best things about city breaks is that there are always a million great coffee places to stumble upon. Granola is a cool brunch spot on Værnedamsvej (a street known as “little France”) right between trendy Vesterbro and chic Frederiksberg. It’s a great spot for a traditional Danish breakfast followed by a mimosa – why not?! In the heart of Copenhagen’s fashion district, you’ll find menswear store, Another Aspect. Within the store lies one of four locations for Danish coffee brand, La Cabra. Mixing minimalist fashion with speciality coffee will always be chic. 👌
Eating/Drinking…

If you’re looking for an all-rounder brunch spot, Ø12 has a few locations across the city. Expect big plates, freshly squeezed OJ and the perfect, not-too-sweet strawberry iced matcha. For dinner, Delphine is ideal for date night/girl dinner vibes. The interiors alone are reason to go, but the menu is also a delight. If you try one thing, make it the tuna crudo, then pop across the road for a nightcap in Coco Hotel.
Shopping…

If you’re visiting Copenhagen and don’t wander wistfully around Hay House, imagining how your home would look if money grew on trees, what are you doing? The homeware brand epitomises Scandi style, mixes contemporary interiors with quirky details and will have you ready to book an Extreme Makeover: Home Edition when you leave. Over in Frederiksberg, you’ll find plenty of indie boutiques, designer shops and archival vintage clothing of dreams to spend your day rummaging through.
Things to do…

For a chilled morning by the water, take a quick bus to Refshaleœen and head to La Banchina to watch as the locals take a cold dip (or sunbathe on the dock in the summer). Nearby, you’ll find Copenhagen Contemporary, where the exhibition ‘Soft Robots’ is on until April and is well worth a visit. In the evening, head around the corner to Reffen Street Food Market, where a whole host of food trucks and bars will make sure no one leaves hungry – they also have an ice rink that’s open ‘til Feb.
Sleeping…

For affordable accommodation and the IDEAL location, look no further than Zoku Copenhagen. Located 15 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from the city centre, Zoku offers fully kitted-out loft-style apartments that you can book for both short and long stays. The Zoku group (found in Paris, Amsterdam and Vienna) is B-Corp certified and has a focus on sustainable living and building community; they also have a very lovely rooftop bar and restaurant to relax in after a busy day exploring the city.
